How Analyteum collects, uses and protects your data

Last updated: October 19, 2026

1. Who we are

Analyteum («we», «us», «our») is a competitor analysis service available at analyteum.com. We help businesses understand their competitive landscape by aggregating and analyzing publicly available market data — competitor pricing, promotions, reviews and strategies.

2. Data we collect
  • Account data: email address and password (stored as a cryptographic hash) when you register.
  • Profile data: optional details you add in your dashboard, such as name or Telegram username.
  • Business parameters: niche, region/city, segment and competitor names you provide to run an analysis.
  • Chat data: messages you send to our AI assistant and support chat, stored to keep your conversation history.
  • Analysis results: generated reports linked to your account.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and standard server logs, used for security and diagnostics.
  • Cookies: session cookies required for authentication, plus a consent record (see Section 6).
3. How we use your data
  • To provide the service: run competitor analyses, store your reports and chat history.
  • To manage your account: authentication, credits, notifications you opted into.
  • To communicate with you: service updates, support replies, analysis results.
  • To secure the platform: fraud prevention, abuse detection, audit logging.
  • To improve the service: aggregated, anonymized usage statistics.

We do not sell your personal data and do not share your business parameters or analysis results with other users or third parties for their own marketing.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

We process personal data under: (a) performance of a contract — providing the service you signed up for; (b) legitimate interest — security, fraud prevention and service improvement; and (c) consent — for optional cookies and marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time.

5. Third-party processors

To run analyses we may use AI providers (currently DeepSeek). Only the messages and business parameters you submit to the analysis chat are sent to these providers — never your password or unrelated personal data. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and security. With your consent we may also use analytics cookies. Our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies; your choice is stored locally and can be reset by clearing your browser storage.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and analysis data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9). Server logs are rotated automatically and retained for a limited period.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, export and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email listed on our Contacts page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We apply industry-standard measures: HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, CSRF protection, rate limiting and access controls. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we continuously work to protect your information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated revision date.
